I have a new favourite take-out coffee shop in Montreal. It's literally the size of a closet... under some random stairs, and the coffee is phenomenal (not to mention only 2$).
And those chocolatey morsels of heaven pictured above? They are the chocolate babkas from Cheskie's, the Jewish bakery around the corner from our apartment… and I cannot get enough of them.
Oy! We have been on a lot of planes lately… 4 trips in the last 10 days. I'm not going to lie, it has been rather exhausting. But this boy of mine, he has been a total champ.
And this is what our life really looks like now...
And on Sunday morning we flew back up north, and somehow managed to pull together a Super Bowl spread in record time. I made a big batch of vegetarian chili, and friends brought over chips & salsa and chicken wings and football-shaped Super Bowl cookies :)
And now, it feels so nice to be back in the quiet solitude of the north. We need rest, and sleep, and time to recover from a wonderfully busy vacation. Funny how vacation can sometimes feel more tiring than routine daily life.
It's good to be home.
