Life has been so full lately... it's been impossible to keep up with this blog. That's the holidays for you.
I spent last weekend in NYC, and it was (obviously) such a fun little getaway. I'm finally taking a few moments to go through some pictures this morning, so I thought I'd share a few....
^^ The Ace Hotel was awesome! Although the rooms were very basic, the lobby, bar and Stumptown coffee shop were incredible^
^^it was crazy blizzardy out, so we kept having to pop into pubs and coffee shops for warm drinks to dry off and warm our toes^^
^^we loved exploring Chelsea Market on Sunday morning - it was a great place to grab a quick delicious lunch too^^
^^The Brooklyn Bridge at sunset is beyond amazing - the glow off all the Manhattan skyscrapers is simply breathtaking^^
Some other highlights were The Whitney Museum, the whispering wall at Grand Central (it totally works!), dinners at Cornelia Street Café and Nook, and of course all the Christmas-specific things like the windows at Saks, the Rockefeller tree, and the Christmas market at Bryant Park.
48 hours in NYC is in no way enough time, but we didn't stress about "seeing everything" and instead we just went with the flow, made the most of it, and had a wonderful time!
I hope you're having a great pre-holiday season out there.
