Weekend Moments up north...

In true northern fashion, this weekend began with a huge snowstorm.

There's nothing quite like a mid-April blizzard to get the spirits up ; )

Needless to say, we spent the majority of the weekend indoors.

But I must say, it was pretty wonderful hanging out just the three of us.

^^I painted a chalkboard wall on the side of one of our kitchen cabinets, and I had fun playing with it all weekend.^^

And on Sunday morning we hosted a big brunch chez nous. There were 15 people coming so we made a ton of food in advance, plus everyone brought something as well, so there ended up being a ridiculous amount of food.
The chalkboard came in handy to write the ever-expanding menu on (and we just kept adding things to the list as people arrived with their dishes).

It was a great success!

But hosting that many people, with a baby in your arms, is exhausting.

So after everyone left, and the kitchen was (relatively) clean again, we all slept really, really hard.
