What do I know about this little guy now that we're two months in?
- The morning is his favourite time of day.
- He looks mighty handsome in stripes.
- He must have sweet dreams because he always smiles in his sleep. Sometimes he even laughs out loud and wakes himself up!
- If he had it his way (which he often does) he would breastfeed constantly. Like 24/7, no joke.
- He loves to stare at lights, and sometimes blank walls (I have no clue why).
- He has the fastest growing fingernails I've ever seen.
- He loves the bath. He hates getting out of the bath.
- He loves to poop in a fresh diaper. Every time.
- He has the bluest little eyes with gorgeous long lashes. Yup, he's going to be a heartbreaker one day.
- He is one gassy little guy.
- He is pretty darn cranky in the evening.
- But when he's happy he makes the cutest, most hilarious facial expressions, and he completely lights up my day.
It's been so wonderful getting to know you, little Z.
I can't wait for the rest of our lives together : )

omg...HE IS SO ADORABLE!!! wesley is 3.5 months and i already miss when he was this little! happy new year! sorry i've been soooo sluggish getting back to reading blogs since we've gotten back. my secret for flying is to fly BA and fly business class, haha! we did this time because mark had so many points so we upgraded. on the short flight we had a seat thing inbetween us so we had him on that (we also put him on the floor at our feat for a little bit). but BA usually has bassinets/cots/chair things that you can use...just call ahead of time to see if you can have a seat where you can use them. (they strap on to a panel that comes out from the wall). for a 2 hour flight i'd just hold him i guess?
Aww! He's so adorable!! Happy 2-month birthday to him!!
Ah, such a cutie! I love hearing about these little bits of parenthood.
It does suck. My family doctor referred to the first three months as the "100 days of hell" that no one wants to talk about. The beginning is hard for a new mum. Very hard. Tears flow easily, you wonder how this happy, smiley little baby can go from almost perfect to a screaming, can't be calmed down terror and it makes you feel hopeless, helpless and incompetent and then you question your own ability to mother. But then one day....you get a little more sleep, you wake up a bit more rested, your baby is more and more predictable and finally you realize why all those moms say "ohmigod it's the best thing ever, I'm so in love and life is so amazing". It's not easy. In fact it sucks. But all the moms are right. It will soon get wonderful!
He is beautiful. You must be thrilled! So sweet learning about all the little things you've discovered about him in the past two months. Cheers to the rest of your lives together (at least, when he's in a good mood) :)
