So the husband and I arrived in California today,
(we're here for a work conference in Monterey)
and oh my goodness, I feel so refreshed already.
I forgot how deprived I've been in Montreal.... of sun, of greenery, of fresh sea air.
I could feel my winter blues disappear with every breath.
We arrived in San Francisco to cloudy skies, but it didn't matter. The scenery was lush, and beautiful.
In Monterey, we're staying at this adorable little hotel called the Spindrift Inn. It has the sweetest little balcony, and is well-stocked with my favourite Aveda body products.
Oh and I can't wait to sleep in that gigantic bed tonight!
So anyway, I just wanted to pop in and say a quick hello. I expect I'll be a bit busy with work over the next few days, but after that we're heading off on a road trip around the southwest, so undoubtedly I'll have tons of pictures to share with you!

Wow, your trip pics so far are amazing. My favorite is the art work on that wall. I love finding random street art like that. Enjoy your time there. So great to here you are shaking off the winter blues. Looking forward to your road trip pics.
