Montreal Moments: Keeping warm with spicy cajun & creole at Montreal's La Louisiane

I can't believe I've lived in Montreal all my life and had never been to La Louisiane. It's such a fun restaurant!  The place was bustling, there was fabulous jazz music playing overhead, and the food was rich and spicy, and warmed me to the core. I loved it!

I loved that they served fresh cornbread biscuits instead of traditional bread, and that the open kitchen was continually lit up with huge blasts of flames from the stove top. I can't wait to go back and eat more of those firecracker shrimp! La Louisiane is the perfect choice for a cold Montreal winter night.

Emily, it really wasn't that bad, compared to a lot of Montreal restaurant, I thought it was very reasonable.

Great! I'll try to check it out next time I'm in the mood to go out.
I love the whole creole/new orleans vibe.
